BEGINNING GAMES

CATCH

Catch can be a fun game to play either in pairs or with groups of people. It‘s also a good warm-up for other games. Practice stalling the SpinJammer™ on your finger, then toss it to a friend. Then catch it on the fly or try some trick throws and catches.

SPEEDWAY

Speedway is a game that develops fast reflexes and hand eye coordination. It is played in pairs and this is what happens:

The pairs stand 10-15 yards apart and throw the SpinJammer™ back and forth as fast as they can. The first team to throw the disc 25 times is the winner. A variation is to play with a stopwatch and see which team can complete the most throws in 30 seconds. Still another variation is to line up two teams of pairs and zigzag the disc down the pairs and see which team wins.

HOTCHAMASTALLIT

This game is a variation of hot potato, and here’s how you play:

Someone gets the disc spinning on his or her finger and passes it to another player and he or she passes it to someone else and so on. The player that ends up with the disc when it stops, or if a player drops it, he is out. This game should be played standing in a circle and can be played indoors and outdoors, the last person remaining is the winner.

This game is exciting with a disc. if the throws float in the air many people will be trying for the disc at the same time. Catching it in the Whatchamastallit adds to the competition and the fun. (see 500 in intermediate games) Sometimes players may get a little over zealous playing this game, make sure there aren't too many mid-air collisions for safety.

One of the most enjoyable features of the SpinJammeris catching and stalling the disc on your finger. SpinJammermakes this once almost impossible manuver easy and fun for everyone. However, there are two basic rules to follow:

The first and most important rule to remember when catching the SpinJammer™ in mid air on your finger   is that you must syncronize the motion of your hand with the speed and direction of the disc. The closer you can achieve the same speed and direction as the disc the easier it is to catch and stall it.

The second rule to remember is once you have your hand going the right speed and direction locate the Whatchamastallit. Put your finger in it and slow the disc down gradually. Don't attack it, or maybe it will attack youl
